NOWHERE MAN, The Beatles, meanemotion=Victorious, meanspeed=121.1--Sarcastic John Lennon?

To me, "Nowhere Man," three speed graphs done in one continuous group of four quarter notes as a moving average line is produced that shows speed changes from one measure to the next.

Here, I find the tone: sarcastic. The speed, for meanspeed music theory, is the speed of victory. With the 3 part harmonies, there is a lot of work that sounds Beach Boy-esque, much falsetto--so I alwaays go the sense that John was mocking someone else, not thinking of himself as the Nowere man. The Victory in being "just as blind as [you] can be/knows not what [you] want to see" is that...hey, it may be you or John sometimes, but your not this deep of a loser. Just my take on it.

Wiki, who has been quoting me without credit (whatever, all is fair game, I lose no sleep on it either way) is returned the favor here:

"Nowhere Man" is a song by British 1960s rock group The Beatles, on their hit album Rubber Soul (in the US on the Yesterday ... and Today album). Though the songwriting credit is Lennon-McCartney, it was actually penned solely by John Lennon and recorded on October 21 and 22, 1965. Although it appears to be the first song by the group not blatantly about love, earlier recordings by Lennon such as "I'm a Loser", "Help!", and "Day Tripper" were based on other themes. "Nowhere Man" marks the beginning of Lennon's philosophical oriented music.

The song is either about an actual person or a member of a rigid, strait-laced society whose life in reality had no purpose. Julia Phillips, in her exposé You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again, said the song was written about a businessman named Michael Brown. Lennon, however, claimed that he himself was the subject of the song. He wrote it after wracking his brain in desperation for five hours, trying to come up with another song for Rubber Soul. "I'd actually stopped trying to think of something," he said. "Then I thought of myself as Nowhere Man — sitting in his nowhere land."

The song was also performed by the Bee Gees in the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band film, with Barry Gibb on lead vocals."---WIKIPEDIA.ORG

Minor keys and lust meanemotions: silence as Dark and Lustful, THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE, performed by Simon & Garfunkel, in D minor

These are three speed charts of the song The Sounds of Silence, one of the themes for the movie The Graduate, by Simon & Garfunkel.

This song: another in our continuing series of what happens when you put a song on a minor key—or rather—it was in a minor key (sad key) anyway, and the results are such: in this song, what would be an other wise TV-theme from the 1970s type syrup-like sound IF the song had been in D major. It is not in D major. D minor—the saddest key of all, according to Christopher Guest in This Is Spinal Tap—just think of the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven, Bach Piano Concerto in D Minor—one of the most amazing pieces ever.

And so here: a lot of sad surreal ethereal eeriness, mixed with the speed of lust—and here you have the makings of a base of what has become a true classic for the ages of popular Western music.

The frequencies for The Sounds of Silence are:
meanspeed=106.4 beats per minute
meanemotion=LUSTFUL
meanbeat=1.773 beats per second
meanspace=564 milliseconds per beat.
meanspace=2256 milliseconds per measure.
meanphase=1.773 cycles per second.
meanpitch=453.97 Hertz, 53.5 cents above A4=440.000 Hertz and 46.5 cents below A#4/Bb4=466.164 Hertz.

Seeing the invisible in conceptual tempo graphs: The Speed of Grace in "Bad Day", "Very Good Year", "Hey Jude", "Breakfast In America", "El Malecon"

These are eight speed charts that compare some grace speed graphs we have been looking at over the past ten days. All eight charts above are comparison of the same 5 songs with meanspeeds between 70-76 bpm, meanemotion=grace.
Yes, a whole "movement" of DJ's sampling beats of similar speeds thrives--to some this has become a religion--and as you readers know: it's the DJ's out there who like my work a lot--the musicians aren't so keen on it yet. There is some [master DJ "mouse" out there]--a world I only mention because I get many people who ask me: am I counting beats for that movement??? Answer: No. I just have an obsessive curiosity as to speed and what it is doing in a song. Breakfast In America by Supertramp is compared, and for me explained, as Hey Jude By The Beatles.
Given just these five songs with the mean-emotion of grace--I wish I had a system i my house where I could play these all at once--because although they all have the same general underlying pulse--they sound so different. A Very Good Year by the Chairman Of The Board, from Hoboken, New Jersey, Frank Sinatra "sounds" slower, Bad Day by Daniel Powter and El Malecon by Orchestra Harlow sound faster. If a [mishmasher DJ] makes a song out of this, I'd love to hear it!
