Out of the Climax and into the Graceful: James Taylor, "Carolina In My Mind," meanemotion=grace. How probatory science rescued James Taylor Speed!

These are speed graphs of contiguously measured 4 quarter note beat measures of the song "Carolina In My Mind" by the singer and song craftsman James Taylor. This is literally a song about how beautiful the world is in general, everything from flying geese to getting backstabbed by a friend is made to sound effortless, beautiful, charming. James practically sanctifies the beauty of the cute old dog that bites. Well, at another speed, that might just sound angry or sarcastic. But the slide guitars, the musical expertise in the bass line making for lush harmonic sounds and a deceptively complex, well, James Taylor-esque divinity.
Mean Speed Theory Inclusion—My sister used to play James’ greatest hits all the time—usually getting ready for high school in the morning—a time of day I truly did not like, and so this song used to make me angry---I wasn’t feeling very “James” those mornings. Most importantly, as noted, the speed range itself could practically be called “James Taylor Speed,” and this song is still a classic played by James every concert.
The song was recorded live in the studio. In over 4 minutes, when all the speed of all the measures are seen as a trend, there is actually a tiny deceleration from start to end—about 1-2%. While flirting with the meanspeed area 77 _ at times during the songs beginning and end, and also taking a couple of measure during the song that flirt in the 70-71 bpm area, the song is all about all the love between 73-76 bpm.

meanspeed=74.7 beats per minute.
meanemotion=graceful.
meanspace=0.803 seconds between beats.
meanphase=1.245 beats per second.
meanpitch=318.718 Hertz, 43 cents above D#4/Eb4=311.127 Hertz, 57 cents below E4=329.628 Hertz.

SO: while this song is still at the speed of grace, the actual speed of orgasm begins at 100 contractions per minute, not the crudely measured and slower--and for decades accepted as axiomatic until precise anal probes measured the speed at 25% faster than Masters & Johnson's original 75 pulses per minute.
